
For the first 76 years of our history RMS was owned by major tire manufacturers giving us a unique insight into the manufacturing processes and tire technology which today enables RMS to build machines for many of the world’s major tire manufacturers.
Since 1999 RMS has been a key member of the Pettibone Tire Equipment Group which is one of the largest and most innovative tire machinery suppliers with excellent management and strong financial backing.

| 1966 | Became part of the Uniroyal Tire Company who merged with B.F. Goodrich in 1986 to form Uniroyal Goodrich Tire Company |
| 1989 | Became part of Michelin Tire Company |
| 1993 | The management of RMS purchased the company from Michelin and became independent |
| 1999 | Became a member of the Pettibone Tire Equipment Group which encompasses RMS Equipment, Bartell and Steelastic |
| 2009 | RMS Corporate Headquarters moved to Akron, Ohio and manufacturing began in the United States. |
